Intensive Care Units

Critical care medicine is the multidisciplinary healthcare specialty that cares for patients with acute, life-threatening illness or trauma. Critical care medicine is now a recognized Super Specialty by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the practitioners are called “Intensivists who provide dedicated and continuous care to critically ill patients who require advanced monitoring and care in the Intensive Care Unit setting. They work closely with all other specialists in the hospital.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is now an essential area of patient care in tertiary care hospitals.

Critical illness is a condition where life cannot be sustained without invasive therapeutic interventions. Patients with critical illnesses are admitted to the ICU for treatment.

On the ground floor we have a Medical and respiratory ICU comprising of 23 beds( inclusive of negative and positive pressure isolation beds).On the first floor we have 8 bedded Surgical ICU with all facilities. Our ICUs have a good nurse to patient ratio, supported with facilities of continuous multi-parameter invasive monitoring,invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodialysis.
