General Medicine

General Medicine provides the fundamental basis for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This department works round the clock, taking care of both inpatients and outpatients and focusing students in developing their clinical acumen and logical thinking.

The faculty members, besides practicing medicine, conduct CME programmes and attend national and international conferences to update their knowledge and present their research papers.

Curriculum: The undergraduate teaching programme takes the form of regular bedside clinics followed by an internal assessment at regular intervals. In bedside clinics, students are exposed to problem oriented learning and development of clinical skills and observation so that they will be competent in diagnosis and treatment of a patient.
